Racecourse accommodation for horses should be safe, hygienic, comfortable and well ventilated.
Fresh drinking water and washing-down water should always be available.
The Racing NSW risk assessment checklist is completed by racehorse trainers annually with the License Renewal. Information on housing horses in the stable include large safe stables, clean bedding, fresh feed and water and protection from the weather.
A trainer must record treatment and medication administered to each horse in his or her care by midnight on the day on which the administration was given.
Unless otherwise determined by Racing NSW, every licensed Trainer must have satisfactory and current public liability insurance before being eligible to be licensed or to train, barrier trial or race a horse. The conditions for and minimum requirements of such insurance, including a requirement for satisfactory Professional Indemnity Insurance, will be as Racing NSW may from time to time prescribe.
