Raising WHS Issues in the Workplace

How can WHS issues be raised in the workplace?

It is important that your workers have an opportunity to raise issues about health and safety in your workplace and that they take the opportunity to do so.

WHS issues can be raised verbally by workers speaking to the workplace supervisor or nominatred Health and Safety Representative.

Simple ways to raise a WHS issue may be:

• Speak/report to the Stable Supervisor or Manager
• Stable meetings or tack room meetings
• WHS meetings
• Discussion with a Health and Safety Representative
• Workplace Consultation relating to WHS issues and changes
• Discuss with a Racing NSW Steward
