Gosford introduces a new race to the exciting 10-race program for the upcoming The Coast Raceday.

The new addition is a Benchmark 72, 1000m sprint for 3 & 4 year-olds. In addition, the sprint will also feature an increased prize purse, totalling $155,000.

The recent addition now brings the total prize pool for the day to an enormous $1.825 million; a welcome advancement for Gosford and Provincial racing in general.

In conjunction with the announcement of the 1000m sprint, Gosford is set to run a promotion for one keen punter to ‘Name the Race’ in question.

Participants will be asked to submit their suggestions via an online form.

The person with the most suitable and best race name suggestion, as chosen by Gosford Race Club, will be treated to a catered experience for 6 guests, on the upper level of the TAB double decker bus, overlooking the racetrack on The Coast Raceday.
