Choisir was a champion both on the track and in the breeding barn and trainer Clarry Conners is hoping one of his final progeny can make a splash when she makes her debut at Kembla Grange.
Conners will head to Illawarra Turf Club on Saturday with the unraced two-year-old Cholante, who is a daughter of the former Coolmore stallion Choisir that sadly passed away during the week.

Like her sire, Conners believes Cholante is built for speed and he's hoping to plot a course towards the $2 million Magic Millions 2YO Classic on the Gold Coast with the filly.
Cholante was picked up for a modest $45,000 at the Gold Coast Yearling Sale earlier this year and has impressed Conners since arriving in his Warwick Farm stable.
"She is a very nice compact, neat filly," he said.
"One of my clients found her at the Magic Millions sale and asked me to come and have a look at her. We liked her enough to buy her.
"She trialled for the first time at Randwick in the heat that Coolangatta won and led easily to the last 100m but ran out of puff.
"We put her out after that and trialled her again last week at Warwick Far and she won easy."
Cholante won her latest trial hit out by just over three lengths over the 815m journey and will step up slightly in trip for her debut in the Festive Season 2YO Maiden Handicap (1000m) at Kembla Grange.
Her early gate speed should help her negate her draw in barrier eight with Conners expecting her to settle somewhere near the lead.
"She will probably lead unless Gai's horse (Rise Of The Masses) does," he said. "We will see how she jumps and then he can make a decision.
"I think she should run well, she is a nice filly that does nothing wrong. It will just be whether she is fit enough if the track gets too wet."
Conners will nominate Cholante for the $200,000 Wyong Magic Millions 2YO Classic (1100m) on Wednesday as an alternate debut run to Saturday but preferred to keep his promising youngster away from the big guns for her first start.
He has enlisted the services of Serg Lisnyy for the debut of Cholante.
Illawarra Turf Club will be on weather watch in the lead-up to Saturday's meeting with the Kembla track rated a Heavy 10 again on Friday afternoon.
