Hawkesbury Winners - Tips For Thursday 29th June

By Nick Berney

Tips and race by race preview by Nick Berney for Thursday's Hawkesbury meeting. Selections based on a soft to good track. Monitor for bias/pattern.

Race 1 - 12:10PM GODOLPHIN FAMILY FUNDAY 9 JULY 3YO M HCP (1400 METRES)

2. Enotis resumes off a 162-day break and looks to have returned improved after two solid jumpouts at Flemington. The Hawkes trained galloper wasn't suited to sit/sprint race shapes last campaign, but his runs had sectional merit. He must contend with a tricky draw but the big track and 1400m suits first-up.

Dangers: 4. The Riddler is now in the hands of John Thompson and has improved between his two trials in preparation for this assignment. Although suited over more ground, he brings competitive figures from last campaign and will be strong late. 10. Turbo Charged has been racing consistently, bringing a key fitness edge. 9. Sir Zino can sprint fresh and is a market watch.

How to play it: Enotis WIN ($3.50 TAB Fixed Odds). Odds & Evens: EVENS.

Race 2 - 12:45PM WORKERS LIFESTYLE GROUP MAIDEN PLATE (1800 METRES)

Hard to get away from 6. The Professor who receives a positive weight swing in his favour against some key rivals here, and he brings an SP advantage. The gelding was building into the race well last start at Wyong before being blocked for a run at a critical stage. Further, he lost momentum between the 600m-400m section, struggled to recover after that interference but picked himself up to close off ok and finish third. The three-year-old has a strong platform, is ready to step up to 1800m, and jockey Jason Collett sticks.

Dangers: 3. Align The Planets comes through the same race and also was checked at a key stage, but to his credit, once balancing up, he hit the line hard and ran solid closing splits. He is set to peak third-up. 5. Ruberto receives a significant barrier change, maps to have all favours and brings a different form line. 4. Our Kinsmen always faced the breeze last start in a genuine tempo and battled on well. He can roll forward and give a sight. Respecting 2. The Realm's debut SP, albeit failing on heavy ground.

How to play it: The Professor WIN ($3.50 TAB Fixed Odds). Odds & Evens: SPLIT.

The Professor runs third at Wyong on June 15

Race 3 - 1:20PM XXXX GOLD MAIDEN PLATE (1000 METRES)

10. Stefi Magnetica brings superior form lines relative to her rivals here and posts an honest effort behind the smart Learning To Fly. The filly has trialled well enough and maps to have all favours with Tim Clark booked to ride.

Dangers: 8. Full Revolution is still learning and is market watch. Add 6. Saroyan who is a debutant coming out of the Peter & Paul Snowden yard. 5. Single Attraction can bounce back on the provincial circuit.

How to play it: Stefi Magnetica WIN ($2.50 TAB Fixed Odds). Odds & Evens: EVENS.

Stefi Magnetica runs third in a trial at Rosehill on June 20

Race 4 - 1:55PM BLAKES MARINE MIDWAY MAIDEN PLATE (1300 METRES)

Hard to get away from 9. Lara's Laulet under the race conditions, and she brings a dominant ratings profile relative to her rivals. She was solid in the market first-up at the metropolitan level and had no peace throughout. Further, she battled on well to hold fourth and will undoubtedly improve off that effort. The Ben Smith trained galloper will only have to repeat that performance/figure to be hard to beat here.

Dangers: 3. Luai raced well on debut in a high-rating race, subsequently producing three winners. The gelding was slightly flat second-up but can bounce back here with a favourable map. Forgive 11. Notabadsmile's last start, who was 44 days between runs, and he receives a significant barrier change. 6. Zephyr Wings is rock-hard fit and add debutant 1. Faridge to trifectas and first fours.

How to play it: Lara's Laulet WIN ($1.55 TAB Fixed Odds). Odds & Evens: ODDS.

Lara's Laulet first-up at Kensington on June 14

Race 5 - 2:35PM LANDER TOYOTA CLASS 1 HANDICAP (1300 METRES)

9. Leandra can bounce back at her home track, where she produced her career peak figure two starts ago. She maps to have all favours with Jason Collett riding.

Dangers: 4. Announcing wasn't suited to the sit/sprint race shape first-up at Newcastle but closed off well. She can settle closer, and Tyler Schiller takes over the riding duties. Market Watch on 2. Earl Of Devon who can sprint fresh, and he raced well last campaign. Add 3. Moorestown to trifectas and first fours.

How to play it: Leandra WIN ($2.50 TAB Fixed Odds). Odds & Evens: SPLIT.

Leandra last start at Canterbury on May 31

Race 6 - 3:10PM RICHMOND CLUB PROVINCIAL BENCHMARK 64 HANDICAP (1000 METRES)

7. Everyone's A Star broke through for her maiden win at this track/distance 18 days ago and did it easily. The lightly raced filly was three-wide out on a limb throughout, but to her credit, she showed a sharp turn of foot and put her rivals away quickly. To further merit her performance, she clocked the fastest 400m-200m split of the meeting, and she can improve off that effort. The three-year-old is still learning but receives barrier one, a senior rider in Josh Parr goes on, and she represents value. Each-way.

Dangers: 3. Boomsong resumes and won a recent trial at this track in fast time relative to the morning with the blinkers off. He looks wound up for this, has multiple winning ratings and will take some beating. 6. Boss also returns and has trialled well enough. He is a proven fresh performer and a key market watch. 4. Stars And Bars benefits from racing at his home track, and 2. Mr Bingo is rock-hard fit.

How to play it: Everyone's A Star E/W ($7.00 TAB Fixed Odds). Odds & Evens: ODDS.

Everyone's A Star wins at Hawkesbury on June 11

Race 7 - 3:45PM IRRESISTIBLE POOLS & SPAS BENCHMARK 64 HANDICAP (2100 METRES)

Leaning towards 1. Kiptanui, who was honest last start in a high-rating race at the metropolitan level. The six-year-old has been racing consistently all preparation and has multiple winning ratings for this assignment. He is proven at the distance, has strong form lines, maps to stalk the speed, and drops in grade. In addition, with even luck, expect him to be in the finish. Each-way.

Dangers: 7. Okataina led at an even pace last start at Canterbury, and he battled on ok to hold fourth. The gelding is on an eight-day backup and will take some catching. 8. Guzumped is improving and is ready to peak third-up stretching out to a more suitable trip. He is lightly raced, and expect him to be hard to hold out. 11. Reliable Dude hasn't missed a place in his past four starts and back to 2100m suits. Add 3. Bak Da Man to trifectas and first fours.

How to play it: Kiptanui E/W ($7.50 TAB Fixed Odds). Odds & Evens: ODDS.

Kiptanui last start at Warwick Farm on June 12

Race 8 - 4:25PM PIONEER SERVICES BENCHMARK 64 HANDICAP (1600 METRES)

Keen on 7. Jamrock who went to a new level last start at Wyong and produced a career peak figure. The three-year-old travelled well throughout, made a long wide-sustained run and savaged the line to score in style. Further, the clock backed up his late visual dominance, with the gelding clocking one of the meeting's fastest final 200m splits. He is progressive, and all key indicators suggest he can step off that performance. In addition, the in-form Adam Hyeronimus rides from a favourable gate; the big track suits and, with even luck, expect him to be hard to beat.

Dangers: 9. Amarantz, who has been specked late in the trade in both runs this campaign, is ready to do something third-up. Expect him to excel, stepping out to 1600m, and apprentice Hannah Williams goes back on who has a great affiliation with the mare. 4. Invincible Dash is a consistent type and maps to have all favours. Add 2. Bokuden to wider exotics.

How to play it: Jamrock WIN ($3.50 TAB Fixed Odds). Odds & Evens: ODDS.

Jamrock wins last start at Wyong on June 15

Best Bet: Race 8 # 7 - Jamrock

Best Value: Race 6 # 7 - Everyone's A Star
