Race 1 (2:20pm) TEAM TH'BRED NSW TRAINING ACADEMY SUPER MDN HCP (1000m) |
---|
3. Bold Bidder ($2.15 on TAB) was heavily supported and knocked up over 1000m on debut. Will be fitter for that effort and deserves another chance. 1. Istolea Merc ($2 favourite) resumes first-up for the Baker stable after placing behind Livin’ Thing on debut at Hawkesbury. Has the advantage of barrier 1 and both trials have been good. 4. California Command ($6) and 6. Sculptor ($16) are next best.
How to play it: Bold Bidder WIN
Race 2 (2:55pm) WARRA CLUB PARTNERSHIP 2025 PROVINCIAL CL 1 HCP (1200m) |
---|
1. Eastern Front ($2.25 fav) resumes first-up for the new stable and his two trials have been eye-catching including a solid hit out when matching motors with city galloper Willaidow in his first. Has a tendency to mix his form but looks to have returned very well and gets the claim for Zac Wadick. An inside draw aids his chances to notch his second career win.
Dangers: 6. Royal Bombadier ($3.10) didn’t have much luck in town last start when caught wide without cover, comes back to the provincials and gets in with 52.5kg after the claim for Mollie Fitzgerald. 2. Show Pony ($2.80) resumes on his home track for Mitchell Beer after a lengthy spell and has trialled well enough to be competitive, just has to contend with the wide draw. 5. Spotthefaker ($34) was a winner first-up last preparation before losing her way and is a place chance.
How to play it: Eastern Front WIN
Race 3 (3:30pm) 000 PLUMBING MIDWAY MAIDEN PLATE (1300m) |
---|
6. Thaibeefsalade ($13) stuck on gamely last start when stepping straight to 1300m second–up into her preparation when only beaten 2 lengths. She hit the line well first-up over an unsuitable trip and was a close up 2nd behind subsequent city winner Idle Flyer in a maiden last preparation. She maps to find the front coming back to her home track and with the 1300m run under her belt, she can give a sight at odds.
Dangers: 3. Century Song ($2 fav) did enough first-up over 1010m at Moruya hitting the line well into 3rd behind Zoutastic who franked that form winning at Wagga on Sunday. Steps straight to 1300m and draws to get the run of the race on his home track for the Price team. 10. Modella ($3.30) comes back to provincial grade after placing behind Believe In Angels at Warwick Farm on debut but has to contend with a wide draw and will only improve with racing. I am Invincible filly 11. Straandstorm ($13) is capable of running into the minor money.
How to play it: Thaibeefsalade EACH-WAY
Race 4 (4:05pm) HENRY CLIVE 4YO&UP MAIDEN PLATE (1600m) |
---|
6. Unusual Prospect ($2 fav) makes his Australian debut after only having the one start in New Zealand before joining the John O’Shea & Tom Charlton stable. Has been given the one 1200m trial in readiness for this and he strikes a winnable maiden over a mile to kickstart his career.
Dangers: 5. Rush Fortyfive ($9.50) improved when stepping up to 1400m last start at Taree when 2nd behind Tikiroo who has since won again at the provincials. Has drawn to land closer in the run and his finishing burst suggests the step to 1600m will only assist him. 3. Money Wheel ($3.20) is yet to miss the placings this preparation and has to make the step up from the country to the provincials but rising to 1600m can help him do that. 8. Fire Island ($11) will put herself on speed from a good draw and she will be peaking third-up with a mile run under her belt this time in.
How to play it: Unusual Prospect WIN
Race 5 (4:40pm) RAINMAKER BUSHFIRE SPRINKLERS BENCHMARK 64 HCP (2400m) |
---|
2. Investment ($2.15 fav) is yet to be tested at 2400m but all indications this preparation suggest the daughter of So You Think will be suited stepping up to the mile and a half. Brings four consecutive city placings into this race including a solid effort last start over 1900m at Canterbury. Will get her chance to settle in the run and finish off and goes on top.
Danger: 3. Dalio ($6) improved sharply last start over 2300m at Newcastle narrowly missing behind Final Reset. Gets to map a similar run again from the gate and 2400m looks no issue. 9. Nyota ($7) is on trial at the trip but brings city form from last start and is ready to peak fourth-up this preparation. 6. Montgomery ($8) can mix his form but will appreciate the big stretches of Kembla Grange and is proven at the trip with the sting out.
How to play it: Investment WIN
Race 6 (5:15pm) KEMBLA CLASSIC DAY MARCH 14TH COND. BM 68 HCP (1300m) |
---|
1. C'mon Mate ($3.80) was a strong winner two starts ago over 1300m and just found the step back to 1200m too sharp last start when heavily supported in the market. He gets in with 57.5kg after the claim for Ana Roper and maps to get the run of the race stepping back up to 1300m. Will be hard to beat.
Dangers: 3. All Machiavellian ($3.40 fav) is slowly working his way back to a win after running a good race last start in the Moruya Cup. Maps to get a nice run in transit and is suited back to his home track. 9. Angel In The Wind ($6) hit the line well last start over 1250m. She drops 2kg off her last run after the claim for Braith Nock and will be finishing hard. 5. Bully For You ($6) looks the next best and is capable of figuring on his best form.
How to play it: C'mon Mate WIN
Race 7 (5:50pm) KEMBLA GRANGE AUTUMN RACING CARNIVAL BM 64 HCP (1500m) |
---|
1. City Gold Banner ($2.10 fav) couldn’t have been more impressive on debut over 1400m at Warwick Farm rounding up his rivals from the tail of the field. Has to step from a maiden to a benchmark 64 but the rise in trip and up to 1500m both look ideal. He has the scope to progress to better races in the autumn.
Dangers: 5. Zousain Bolt ($5) was brave last start over 1500m when only run down by Mizella who has since won again and maps to get every chance from the inside draw and sure to give plenty of cheek. 8. Gendarmerie ($6.50) and 7. I am Wild ($6.50) are both consistent types who can make their own luck on the speed and fill the placings.
How to play it: City Gold Banner WIN
