Race 1 - 1:25PM DRINKWISE PLATE (1000 METRES) |
---|
Debutant 3. Sovereign Hill showed speed and accelerated away from his rivals in style to win a recent heat at Randwick. Further, he clocked slick time relative to the morning after adjustments and has a positive setup here. Expect him to roll forward from the soft draw and be hard to catch.
Dangers: First starter 2. Fortians has improved between trials and showed brilliant gate speed in his latest heat at Rosehill. The in-form Nash Rawiller rides and he is wound up for this event. 1. Counteroffensive comes through a proven trial form reference, producing two subsequent winners. He missed the start but hit the line well and 1000m suits. 6. Micro Magic was ridden out in her recent heat and has trialled well enough.
How to play it: Sovereign Hill WIN ($1.75 TAB Fixed Odds).
Sovereign Hill wins a trial at Randwick on September 22
Race 2 - 2:00PM KIA ORA PRAGUE HANDICAP (1400 METRES) |
---|
Leaning towards 2. Kaizad who brings an SP edge over some of his key rivals and has a positive race setup here. First-up, his effort was full of merit when running second and beat the rest easily in a high-rating race behind subsequent winner Makarena. The gelding then was honest a fortnight ago at Rosehill after leading at a fast pace and held on bravely for second. He receives a significant barrier change, which will allow him to have a tactical advantage, and he is ready to peak third-up with a strong platform.
Dangers: 6. Kirikan comes through the same race as Kaizad but had excuses in that event. He brings strong form lines from last campaign and has a favourable setup. 9. Miss Reilly's debut performance had merit, and she can improve sharply second-up.
How to play it: Kaizad WIN ($1.70 TAB Fixed Odds).
Kaizad runs second at Rosehill on September 27
Race 3 - 2:35PM PRECISE AIR PLATE (1200 METRES) |

3. Need Some Luck resumes and went through the line full of energy to win a recent trial at Randwick. Both the colt's runs last campaign were full of merit in high-rating races, and he always gave the impression he would come back improved in his second prep. Prior to him spelling, he started a well-fancied $1.70 favourite and tried hard in defeat behind subsequent Group 2 winner Griff. Further, he was slightly outpaced up-tempo, but once balancing up, he hit the line hard and clocked one of the meeting's fastest final 200m. Repeating that performance/figure will make him hard to hold out with even luck from the middle draw.
Dangers: 2. Keenan was honest on debut in an extremely high rating race at Wyong and will have benefited from that race experience. The more spacious track will suit the colt, and he can roll forward. Expect 10. Pajanti to take a more forward position here and add 11. Pipistrelle to trifectas and first fours.
How to play it: Need Some Luck WIN ($1.90 TAB Fixed Odds).
Need Some Luck wins a trial at Randwick on September 22
Race 4 - 3:10PM SCHWEPPES HANDICAP (2400 METRES) |
---|
1. Chateaux Park is ready to win again this campaign with an improved race setup for this assignment. The seven-year-old arguably should've won two starts ago when being checked/blocked for the majority of the straight and then got too far back last start, but was an eye-catching fourth. He has a strong record at this track, is proven at the trip and can settle closer with James McDonald riding for the first time.
Dangers: 10. Golden Passport is consistent and hasn't missed a place this campaign. He has a solid SP profile and will roll forward with Tim Clark riding. 11. Classic Deel is rock-hard fit and add 9. Nyota who is coming out of a fast run race.
How to play it: Chateaux Park WIN ($3.50 TAB Fixed Odds).
Chateaux Park last start at Warwick Farm on October 2
Race 5 - 3:45PM JAMES SQUIRE HANDICAP (1600 METRES) |
---|
6. Spaltet had all favours when winning at this track/distance last start but reeled off one of the meeting's fastest final 200m splits. He is in career-best form and can improve again here, which will make him hard to hold out.
Dangers: 10. Yasuke finally gets to a more suitable trip, and James McDonald sticks from a favourable draw. 7. Tags absorbed the pressure last start at Kembla, put his rivals away with style, and deserves his chance here. Market watch on 2. Iowa who is resuming off a recent trial win at Randwick.
How to play it: Spaltet WIN ($6.00 TAB Fixed Odds).
Spaltet wins at Warwick Farm on September 20
Race 6 - 4:20PM TAB HANDICAP (1400 METRES) |

1. Fall For Cindy profiles well for this event and gets key factors in her favour here. The mare wasn't suited to the sit/sprint race shape first-up and had to make a long-wide sustained run and clocked some of the meeting's fastest closing splits whilst maintaining a solid finishing speed. She has come in on a strong figure, receives a significant barrier change, allowing her to settle closer, and James McDonald rides for the first time. In addition, she was a winner second-up last prep.
Dangers: 4. Modern Millie resumes without an official public barrier trial, but she was impressive before spelling last campaign. She can sprint fresh, and Jason Collett rides. 2. Ithadtobezou was honest first-up in torrential conditions a fortnight ago at Rosehill and will be fitter for that effort. Moreover, the form of that race has since been confirmed with a subsequent winner. 5. Smart Little Miss comes through the same race as Fall For Cindy and hit the line well after having 35 days off the scene. 3. Arale will roll forward and market watch on 9. Let Me Reign who resumes from a spell.
How to play it: Fall For Cindy WIN ($2.00 TAB Fixed Odds).
Fall For Cindy runs second at Rosehill on September 27
Race 7 - 4:55PM OLE KIRK @ VINERY STUD HANDICAP (1200 METRES) |

1. Lavish Empire had too much to do last start after getting into an impossible position, but his effort had hidden sectional merit. The gelding got too far back from a wide draw but he made up ground, building through his gears, and ran some of the meeting's fastest closing splits. He has improved this prep and follows a similar pattern to last campaign, where he won third-up at this track. The anticipated genuine tempo suits which will allow him to have the chance to charge over the top of his rivals.
Dangers: 12. Thunderlips has trialled well enough and looks wound up for this event. He brings strong form lines, and barrier one is a clear advantage for him at his home track. 10. Cardone resumes as a gelding and showed a sharp turn of foot in a recent trial at Rosehill. He produced his career peak figure first-up last prep and expect a forward showing. 2. Epicus and 5. Amortal will both roll forward from inside gates and be tough to get past.
How to play it: Lavish Empire WIN ($4.60 TAB Fixed Odds).
Lavish Empire last start at Rosehill on September 23
Race 8 - 5:30PM BIVOUAC FIRST YEARLINGS HANDICAP (1100 METRES) |

8. Shadows Of Love, who resumes, profiles well for this assignment, and she went to a new level last preparation. The mare ran fast time to score in a recent heat at Wyong and did it easily, going through the line full of energy. She maps to have all favours, will appreciate the firm surface and brings multiple winning figures. Further, she has a strong SP profile and has solid form lines for this event.
Dangers: 9. Welcome Gypsy has trialled impressively and looks wound up for this. Moreover, the mare won well first-up last campaign and accelerated hard to score. She maps well, and Jason Collett rides. 6. Afterlight produced a career peak figure and bolted in at this track/distance 21 days ago. Further, repeating that performance/figure will put him in the finish. 10. Waikiki can sprint fresh and 12. Ballroom Bella is in form, winning her last two starts at the provincial level.
How to play it: Shadows Of Love WIN ($4.20 TAB Fixed Odds).
Shadows Of Love wins a trial at Wyong on September 18
