Racing NSW Veterinarians and Stewards have now completed an inspection of all runners engaged to start in Saturday’s The TAB Everest.
All horses have been passed suitable to start and samples taken from the runners have been submitted to the Australian Racing Forensic Laboratory for routine analysis.
As notified on Wednesday, trainer Kris Lees has reported to Racing NSW Stewards that Tactical Advantage, an acceptor in Saturday’s Sydney Stakes and an emergency in The TAB Everest, was found to have sustained a laceration to its nasal bridge on Tuesday morning, for which a minor procedure and treatment has been undertaken.
Mr Lees advised the gelding has not missed any work as a result of the injury.
Tactical Advantage will be inspected by Racing NSW Chief Veterinary Officer, Dr Toby Koenig on Friday (16th October) to ascertain the gelding’s suitability to start on Saturday, 17 October 2020.
