Following co-trainer Ciaron Maher reporting that Lighthouse, an acceptor in The Star Doncaster Mile at Royal Randwick on Saturday, had a pulse in the near-fore foot and associated lameness in that foot, Racing NSW Chief Veterinary Officer Dr Toby Koenig has conducted an inspection of the mare this morning.
Dr Koenig has advised there is still a mild pulse present in the foot and whilst the lameness has improved, Lighthouse is still displaying lameness and is not suitable to start in its current condition.
A further inspection of the mare will be conducted prior to scratching time tomorrow morning to ascertain if Lighthouse is suitable to take its place in The Star Doncaster Mile.
