Stewards Information - Canterbury (Wednesday)

Please note the following:

Race 1, No.1 - MAGIC: The Hawkes stable reported the gelding has undergone tie-back surgery since its last race start (18th February 2023). The horse has since trialled on one occasion (at Hawkesbury 17/7/23).

Race 7, No.3 - JESSE JAMES: Trainer Anthony Warren reported the gelding has undergone arthroscopic surgery on both knees to remove bone chips since its last race start. The horse has since trialled on two occasions (Hawkesbury 19/6/23 and Randwick 14/7/23).

Race 1, No.3 - BATTLEFIELD: James McDonald has permission to ride +0.5kg over the allotted weight of 56.5kg, if required.

Race 6, No.7 - TAWFIQ LASS and No.11 - ORLABENT: Dylan Gibbons has been double-booked on the understanding that trainer Kris Lees intends on running only one of these horses and the other will be scratched.
