Four female apprentice jockeys were atop of the Rising Star Series point score following Madeline Owen’s victory in Heat 5 at Warwick Farm on Wednesday (December 4th).
Owen celebrated her first Series win on board Tavolo for trainer Rob Potter, defeating Molly Bourke (2nd, Pioneer Lass) and Siena Grima (3rd, Binding).
Owen, boasting eight points, shares the Series lead, prior to the Coffs Harbour Heat on Thursday, with other Heat victors, Jessica Brookes and Shae Wilkes while Amy O'Driscoll has equal points following podium results from her two contested Heats.
The Series heads to Coffs Harbour today (Thursday) with Heat 6 set to open the race meeting at 1:15pm (EDST) then it's on to Scone (December 17) and Queanbeyan (December 18).
