Find out what the jockeys made of their mounts after the Group 3 $200,000 Bowermans Up And Coming Stakes (1300m) at Rosehill Gardens.
Regan Bayliss (Kibou): “His first up run in The Rosebud I was absolutely rapt with it. I knew he was going to be out of his comfort zone in that race but he didn’t have the turn of foot as those pure sprinters. He’s come on leaps and bounds in his trackwork. I knew he was a red hot chance today and he put it together nicely.
“He’s always been a little bit awkward to ride. He’s still got so much improvement. He could be a better horse in the Autumn. A very good effort today and still very untapped. He’s going to keep improving.”

Sam Clipperton (Golden Mile): “Very happy with his run. He’s going to take plenty of improvement.”
James McDonald (Basquiat): “Lovely run. He had a lovely run in the race and attacked the line well.”
Tim Clark (Shalatin): “He travelled really well but may appreciate a drier track.”
Brenton Avdulla (Lethal Thoughts): “He ran really well. Will make a lovely miler.”
Kerrin McEvoy (Williamsburg): “Will benefit from the run and a little bit further now.”
Tommy Berry (Ringmaster): “He lost the plot a little bit before the race today which is unlike him. That was surprising. But he was first up and fresh. It was a creditable run. There are easier options for him even through he has won previously.”.
Rachel King (Voldemort): “Jumped and travelled a lot better but disappointing in the finish.”
