Find out what the jockeys made of their mounts after the Group 2 $250,000 GPI Tramway Stakes (1400m) at Royal Randwick.
James McDonald (Zaaki): “He has been looking and feeling great. Obviously Annabel has pumped the work into him. He had a trial and four to five days later he had an exhibition gallop. So she has kept the work up to him.
“He had to use all of his ability today to get through that track. Obviously the rail has helped him. He has done a really good job at the furlong to kick away with some really good horses chasing him. He was idling a fair way from home - he can do that when he is out in front - he switches off but he is a horse that finds under pressure but I couldn’t say that was his favourite ground.”

Kerrin McEvoy (Icebath): “Pleasing run. She got back and it has been hard to make ground today. Her natural pattern is to be back there and she’s picked up very well. Just got to get more progression out of that run into third and fourth up. She’s going well.”
Regan Bayliss (Nimalee): “Brilliant performance. Look for her third/fourth up in the preparation when she will hit her straps.”
Tim Clark (Converge): “Hated the ground. He’ll keep for another day.”
Brenton Avdulla (Profondo): “Really happy with how he is going. He’s handled himself very well. As soon as the speed came out of the race on the bend he couldn’t go in the ground. I’m happy with the way he is going.”
Sam Clipperton (Character): “The horse has returned in great order. He just simply hated the track.”
Chad Schofield (Yonkers): “Nice run resuming. He found a nice rhythm and worked to the line solidly.”
