Find out what the jockeys made of their mounts after the G2 Precise Air Skyline Stakes (1200m) at Randwick.
Tim Clark (O'President): “I was well aware of where he was as far as fitness is concerned. It was an easy time to the 600m when I let him go through his gears. I knew he was going to be awfully hard to catch.”
“Mentally he is improving as well. Not that I’ve had a lot to do with him. It was nice to jump on him today and take full advantage of the opportunity. Whatever he’s doing now he will be better in another preparation.”
O'President led all the way in the Skyline
Hugh Bowman (Shaquero): “He was a bit fresh in the early stages but still thought he should have finished off better than he did.”
Tom Marquand (Captivant): “It was a really solid run. They went a pretty steady tempo. I was pretty conscious of getting a lead on him the way he went down. He went a solid race and showed signs of still relative inexperience.”
Jason Collett (Sing A Love Song): “Good run. He still got a bit lost but was good through the line.”
Tommy Berry (Hilal): “It was a massive run. They handed it to the winner. They went very slow and then I got run off the track halfway down and he still got pretty close to the winner. It was a great effort.”
Kathy O'Hara (Seething Seb): “Outclassed.”
Nash Rawiller (Tristate): “He had a few problems in the straight there. He raced very green and wanted to hang out badly. He is a talented horse.”
Sam Clipperton (Sir Rastus): “For an inexperienced horse in that grade of race I thought he acquitted himself well. He has a bit of bright future.”
