She finished midfield in the Golden Slipper but talented filly Fiesta signalled she's in for a big spring taking out the first leg of the four-race Princess Series.
Find out what the jockeys made of their runs in the Group 2 Darley Silver Shadow Stakes (1200m) at Royal Randwick.
Kerrin McEvoy (Fiesta): ““She’s grown up a lot. She is more developed and has strengthened up. Mentally she has grown up a bit too. Chris (Waller) and his team have been really happy with her. She’s trialled well.
“I’m not surprised she did that today because we had a nice soft draw. It was important to make use of that draw. I had first run on them and was full of running when I asked her. It was quite soft in the end. She’s in for a really good campaign so I’m pleased to win on her today.”

Christian Reith (Meryl): “Super return and she will only take benefit from today and she will improve after that run.”
Tim Clark (Oohood): “Solid first up performance just probably the run of the race was against her and if you swap the run with the winner she probably wins.”
James McDonald (Outback Barbie): “Should have won.”
Rachel King (Secret Lady): “Just knocked up that last furlong but will be better for the run.”

Jason Collett (Futooh): “Great return and hit the line well.”
Jay Ford (Adamina): “Disappointing and was the first horse beat.”
Tommy Berry (Ready To Prophet): “She probably lacks a little bit of experience and they are a good three horses that beat her, so she has run well.”
