Find out what the jockeys made of their mounts after the $1,000,000 Silver Eagle (1300m) at Royal Randwick.
Kerrin McEvoy (Vienna Princess) “She’s great, she’s so willing, brilliant to ride her. I’ve only ridden her once I think and never got out on her at Rosehill so it was nice to get the job done today on her. A little bit further back than we thought but Chris (Waller) gave me good confidence he said ‘she’s in good form’.
There was a bit of heat early so I just filed in and was able to get a little bit closer at the halfway mark in the three wide line with some cover and I knew I was going to finish well. That’s what she did, she’s very game.”
“She’s so honest, she’s got a great will to win.”

Tommy Berry (Strait Acer): “Great run on the back of solid pace. He’s an in form horse going well.”
Zac Purton (Pericles): “Really good run. A little bit more pressure early than what I would have liked. I think that just softened him up for the end.”
Brett Prebble (Coin Toss): “Nice little horse. They were a bit sharp for him early. Once he got into his rhythm up the straight he was good through the line.”
Jason Collett (Ruthless Dame): “Shot through on the inside there. Others had momentum more than we did.”
Craig Williams (Yellow Brick): “Disappointing performance. There will be something come to light. On straightening was completely gone. Track extremely firm today so that might be something to do with it. See how he cools down.”
Josh Parr (Williamsburg): “Nice effort. A really dry track and back in in the field is obviously difficult. I am pleased with how he’s matured.”
Michael McNab (Sacred Satono): “He has run really well. Had pressure to my inside and gave me a really good kick. Waited for them to go past and gone again being a stallion. Proud of the way he ran.”
Regan Bayliss (Kibou): “Found the box seat. He was relaxed enough but just wanted to hang on one rein so there might be something there.”
Adam Hyeronimus (New Endeavour): “He’s a beautiful horse. No luck from the gate. Will see how good a horse he is next start.”
Chad Schofield (Kote): “Had a good run from a back gate. Never came off the bridle.”
Daniel Stackhouse (Benedetta): “She ran really well. The tempo might have undone her a little bit. Maybe the firm track but very happy with her run still.”
Dylan Gibbons (Razeta): “If she ever draws a gate this prep she will be right in the finish.”
James Orman (Grebeni): “Ran well. I just feel it will be better with a bit more give in the track and up in trip.”
