Find out what the jockeys made of their mounts after the $500,000 Silver Eagle (1300m) at Randwick.
Hugh Bowman (Aim): “Well, we all know what he is capable of. He just needs things to go his way a little bit and then he can deliver. Today things went his way but he’s a quality horse and we’ve seen him do it at this level and better before.”
Aim winning the Silver Eagle at big odds
Sam Clipperton (Exoboom): “Pulled too hard the first half and then had that interference at the 600m but considering, he’s run quite well.”
Glen Boss (Prime Star): “He ran well. Needs wet tracks.”
James McDonald (Amish Boy): “He has run well.”
Josh Parr (Ellsberg): “Terrific effort.”
Alysha Collett (Triple Ace): No comment.
Regan Bayliss (Count De Rupee): “Should have gone close. When the horse broke down and he was shunted off the track.”
Andrew Adkins (Tramonto): “At the top of the turn he lost his momentum. Probably a little disappointing.”
Jason Collett (Blondeau): “Overraced badly. Done well to finish as close as he did.”
Tommy Berry (Equation): “Got his momentum taken away at the top of the straight. That didn’t help him.”
Nash Rawiller (High Supremacy): “He did a good job. What happened in front of us before the corner, we got exposed a bit soon. Horse did a good job to avoid everything and still run a really good race.”
Kerrin McEvoy (Sammy): “Just wasn’t run to suit. A bit steadily run for him.”
Tim Clark (Vangelic): “That incident on the turn took her out of the race completely.”
