Find out what the jockeys made of their mounts after the Group 3 $200,000 Furphy San Domenico Stakes (1100m) at Rosehill Gardens.
Chad Schofield (Sweet Ride): “I think he ran well the other day. We had the run (1x1), we peeled out and he quickened up to the leaders to win the race but he just gave up the last little bit and then got a check. Today was a similar run. I got him to the outside and he really quickened and sustained it all the way to the line. It was a really good win.
“I knew he’d be fitter for the run. I thought he was probably over the odds. But I thought he would run a lot better than the other day.
“He really impressed today. He beat some really good colts and beat them fairly easily.”

Sam Clipperton (Swiss Exile): “Really good run. Improvement to come and even though he’s a bold going horse, I think getting into a preparation and getting up to 6/7 furlongs will be to his liking.”
Hugh Bowman (Nettuno): “Great run.”
James McDonald (Best Of Bordeaux): “I thought he was good. It was a pass mark. He copped a check at the start. He got a lovely run in the race. Just a little bit ring rusty in the first part of the straight. He stuck on really gamely. Many other horses had had a run.”
Nash Rawiller (Promitto): “Was a little slow out. I think under the circumstances he ran well.”
Tim Clark (Rise Of The Masses): “Will be better suited when he gets to 14/1600m.”
Brenton Avdulla (Zoukerino): “Disappointing. He jumped and travelled really well. Not the same horse as the other day.”
Kerrin McEvoy (Cannonball): “I got a nice lead in front. He didn’t enjoy that ground off the bridle as it’s closer to heavy now and will enjoy top of the ground.”
Jason Collett (Spacewalk): “Seems to have a short, sharp sprint. Just found out the last bit.”
Regan Bayliss (Buenos Noches): “Copped a lot of interference at the top of the straight. To the horse’s credit he still wanted to find the line so I think he has a future.”
