Trainer Richard Litt never lost faith in Castelvecchio and he was proved right when his colt won the $600,000 G1 Sky Racing Active Rosehill Guineas (2000m).
Craig Williams (Castelvecchio): "I didn’t start his prep off last prep and only got onto him as he got into it around this distance. Again he’s third up today at 2000m and Richard asked me to come and have a sit on him the other morning."

Josh Parr (Shadow Hero): “We ended up four lengths further back than we would have liked in a stop start affair. The gate was probably the difference.”
Damien Oliver (Warning): “Good run. When the pace came out of the race it was a bit against him but he ran well.”
Michael Walker (Sherwood Forest): “He needs a mile and a half.”
Opie Bosson (Scorpz): “He pulled up very lame.”
Adam Hyeronimus (Prince Fawaz): “He ran well. He travelled great through the race and really attacked the line strongly. The winner was just too good.”
James McDonald (Reloaded): “He is going really well. It was a sit and sprint race. He did a really good job.”
Tommy Berry (Pancho): “Good effort. He showed a bit more tactical speed today. He might measure up in the winter.”
Nash Rawiller (The Holy One): “He’s coming off what looked a great run. Coming under pressure I just thought he didn’t feel 100% behind.”
Kerrin McEvoy (Chenier): “He struggled today.”
Mark Zahra (Chains Of Honour): “No good.”
Rachel King (Get The Idea): “A bit of a messy kind of race. It was a big step up in class for him. He’ll benefit a lot from today.”
Brenton Avdulla (Impactful): “He’s probably a prep away.”
