Find out what the jockeys made of their mounts after the Group 2 $300,000 Canadian Club Roman Consul Stakes (1200m) at Rosehill Gardens.
Nash Rawiller (Switzerland): “Yeah, what a colt. We all saw nothing went right for him (first-up) and apparently last time from as far as the tie-ups before the race he was sort of mucking things up. So full credit to Chris and his team, they’ve got him here today in outstanding order and the right frame of mind to run well and he finished up in a beautiful spot. I loved the way he relaxed today and he was explosive when I went for him.
“I couldn’t believe they went that quick. It was a surprise to me. But, look, a colt like him today has got here and done everything so push-button, we were able to take advantage of that and not get too far out of our ground but still travel in a beautiful rhythm. And I had a lot of horse underneath me by the time we got to the furlong.
“He’s got a real x-factor about him. And today was my honour to ride him.”

Kerrin McEvoy (Coleman): “He just didn’t step great. Ultimately we just got too far back. Horse has run great. He gave me a nice finish. Just had to stand them too much start.”
Tom Sherry (Yoshinobu): “Lovely colt. Still learning his craft. Plenty of upside.”
Tim Clark (Prost): “Would have liked to have seen him do a little bit more late. He is definitely a horse who is looking for a bit further.”
Josh Parr (Gatsby's): “Nice effort. Obviously from the back had a lot to do. Just ran out of time.”
Adam Hyeronimus (Ikasara): “Very good run. Very happy. That should really bring him on for a peak performance next up.”
Tyler Schiller (High Octane): “He is probably looking for a touch further. Up to 14[00] I think will suit more. He has hit the line really well.”
Tommy Berry (Spirit Of Wealth): “Not sure there. She didn’t stretch out great. See how she pulls up. I know it was a big rise in class but she is a lot better than that.”
