Jockey Quotes - Ranvet Stakes

International raider Addeybb was headed by Verry Elleegant but fought back to win the $700,000 G1 Ranvet Stakes (2000m).

Tom Marquand (Addeybb): “I think he’s done that because he hasn’t enjoyed the ground and his class and attitude has come in the last furlong and a half to get his head back in front. He’s a class act and deserved a G1 on the board.”

Hugh Bowman (Avilius): “Superb effort. It was a real sprint home which worked against us but his performance was very good.”

Craig Williams (Norway): “I thought the way that he paraded he was always going to improve with an Australian debut. It thought it was a very pleasing Australian debut.”

James McDonald (Verry Elleegant): “Too good the winner. She is going enormous, she can’t go any better. She will get her day.”

Opie Bosson (Danzdanzdance): “She just overraced a little bit behind a slow pace and she was a bit flat footed when they quickened.”.

Glen Boss (Nettoyer): “She went terrific.”

Kerrin McEvoy (Youngstar): “Just a bit outpaced in that race.”
