Find out what the jockeys made of their mounts after the Group 3 $250,000 James Squire Premier’s Cup (2000m) at Royal Randwick.
Jason Collett (Hosier): “He travelled so well today, I think the soft ground was definitely helping. He went to the start, he was a lot freer in his action and he just travelled the whole way.
“I just felt like I had control and it was a matter of making sure I didn’t go too early.
“A long way out (I thought I had it won) but when they travel like that you question how long the fuse is. So you want to be holding as long as you can and he had enough there.”

Chad Schofield (Bois D'argent): “Very good run. We got into a good position. He travelled strongly throughout and was very good from the 600m onwards.”
Rachel King (Military Mission): “Super run. He improves a lot second up and proved that today.”
Tyler Schiller (King Frankel): “Terrific run going forward. Really happy with how he found the line.”
Kerrin McEvoy (Cleveland): “Really good run. He had that blip in his radar in the Sydney Cup behind him. He will come on nicely from today and go out in trip. Good first run back.”
Regan Bayliss (Gear Up): “He should improve with the run.”
James McDonald (Desert Icon): “It was a good run. He closed off well.”
Adam Hyeronimous (Fancy Man): “I thought he acquitted himself well first up. Just needs more distance.”
Tim Clark (Point Nepean): “He had a pretty nice run in the race but failed to flatter.”
Jean Van Overmeire (Raging Bull): “Not a bad run. Probably got a little tired in the closing stages. He will definitely benefit.”
Tom Sherry (Athabascan): “Was a bit tricky out of the barriers. He relaxed well in the run. He worked home well. Will appreciate over a bit further.”
Jamie Kah (Bonny Ezra): “Nice horse. He ran well. Missing the start doesn’t help him race closer.”
Jay Ford (Iene Fortune): No commment
Dylan Gibbons (Fawkner Park): “Just a forgive from the alley. We got too far back and nothing in our pack took us anywhere. He had too much to do.”
Kathy O'Hara (Born A King): “Good through the line. He probably just needs to draw a barrier. He can be a lot closer and it will make a difference for him.”
Reece Jones (Mach Schnell): “Just didn’t run the 2000m out today. Got into a rhythm but it saw him out.”
