It's now four of the last five Phar Lap Stakes (1500m) for Chris Waller after Verry Elleegant's dominant win at Rosehill Gardens.
Find out what the jockeys said after the Group 2 feature.
James McDonald (Verry Elleegant): “She’s very good. She needs to relax better. It’s hard to explain, she’s awkward rather than being fierce.”
“She just doesn’t give herself a rest. I think she just wants to go a bit quicker. Give her a fast run race and you’d see something.”
“She is bred to stay, will go for another lap. Took me an age to pull her up.”

Kerrin McEvoy (Ranier): “He struggled in the ground today.”
Opie Bosson (Irukandji): “He never really travelled and was gone too far out to be a chance.”
Jason Collett (Winning Partner): “Travelled like the winner into the straight, but struggled on that ground.”
Corey Brown (Rock): “He was disappointing, but honestly by the time we got to the half mile and hit the choppy going, he just didn’t handle it at all.”
Damian Lane (Aristia): “She ran great, just got off-balanced on the corner with horses coming out on her, but rallied good late.”
Michael Walker (Seabrook): “She ran super, a little bit keen mid-race being second up, but all in all she ran really well, just beaten by a very good filly.”
Jye McNeil (Qafila): “Didn’t handle the conditions 100% but tried hard all the way to the line.”
Tommy Berry (Zalatte): “She was in a bad mood today, she wanted to jack up in the mounting yard, even in the gates she didn’t want to go to the front, she wanted to really sit on the back. She was left really flat-footed when they sprinted around the corner, she made up some ground late, but just wasn’t quite the same horse I rode first up.”
