Godolphin and Kathy O'Hara combined to take out the G3 Hong Kong Jockey Club J H B Carr Stakes (1400m) on Laburnum.
There were a number of hard luck tales and here's what the beaten jockeys had to say.
Kathy O'Hara (Laburnum): “She hasn’t had a huge amount of luck in her runs but even going to the start she is a free striding mare, she was a little keen on the bridle for me but he had a good kick and held on well.”

Corey Brown (My Xpression): “I was disappointed, I came up underneath them like I was the winner and she didn’t give me a yelp.”
Brett Prebble (Eawase): “Ran super, just needs a bit more room to get to the outside.”
James McDonald (Fiera Vista): “Disappointing.”
Damian Lane (Into The Abyss): “She ran well, what can you say.”
Kerrin McEvoy (So Taken): “Great run, barrier just had us riding her a bit conservative, a better barrier and she’s winning today so that’s disappointing.”
Jason Collett (Ragazze): “Just wasn’t able to maintain that tempo inside the winner, stuck on gamely.”
Brenton Avdulla (Asharani): “She ran terrific, I just hate horses getting re-plated, they never step cleanly and go and she’s one of them.”
Tommy Berry (Etana): “She’s going well.”
Robbie Dolan (Jen Rules): “Good effort, got into a nice spot, go into a nice rhythm. Cruised into it well and let down strong. Bit tough for her in this grade though.”
Tim Clark (She's Furline): “1400m - no.”
Sam Clipperton (Major Wager): “Tough run, too tough for her.”
Jay Ford (Alison Of Tuffy): “She’s not up to that grade.”
