Find out what the jockeys made of their mounts after the $1m Inglis Sprint (1200m) at Royal Randwick.
Kerrin McEvoy (Rocketing By): “He’d handled this sort of ground before in his previous win. Dave was quietly confident he’d worked well since that last run.
“Full credit goes to Dave. I’d obviously watched his runs but hadn’t sat on him until today.
“We ended up just riding a bit quiet early, tucking in behind. Had to wait for a bit of a gap at the top of the lane but once I asked him to quicken when the gap came he was in there straight away like a rat up a drain pipe.
“As they say winning form is good form and that’s what he showed here today.
“It’s always good to come back to happy, cheering owners. Good buzz. He was out there with a cheeky chance but he put them away quite easily so it was good. Great win.”

Tim Clark (Prime Star): “He’s gone excellent. The winner has had a couple of runs back in and that was probably the difference in the end.”
James McDonald (Ole Kirk): “Superb run. Lovely colt.”
Tommy Berry (Dame Giselle): “I’ve never ridden a horse who travels so well in the wet but she fails to let down. We see it time and time again but she’s going well.”
Hugh Bowman (The Bopper): “Disappointing.”
Rachel King (Malkovich): “Tried really hard. Just the rain on the day and 1200m sorted him out.”
Nash Rawiller (Japery): “He’s a lovely horse. We were up there in a high pressure race. The pressure came on a long way from home. I thought he ran a great race. Lovely horse. Just wasn’t his day.”
Jason Collett (Osamu): “I pinged the lids. He raced quite close but didn’t finish off.”
Josh Parr (Rule Of Law): “Very disappointing.”
Winona Costin (Gave Me You): “He’s just not up to them.”
Brenton Avdulla (Bella Nipotina): “She ran really well.”
