Jockey Quotes - Furious Stakes

Find out what the jockeys made of their mounts after the Group 2 $200,000 Darley Furious Stakes (1200m) at Royal Randwick.

Brock Ryan (Jamaea): “I was a little bit worried the horses I was on the back of weren’t right in the market. I didn’t think they would take me very far. Sort of got in panic mode to push my way out. Lucky enough I had the filly with the best turn of foot in the race."

Nash Rawiller (Four Moves Ahead): “Had to go right back from the awkward draw. Hit the line terrific. Is the one to beat in the Flight Stakes.”

Tim Clark (Swift Witness): “Good run. Just feel she is looking for the 1400m but very happy with her.”

James McDonald (She's All Class): “Good return. She peaked on her run a little bit. Will be there to run well next start.”

Jason Collett (Mallory): “Ran well.”

Sam Clipperton (Robodira): “Superb run. Just as easily could have won. She was beaten by the bob of a head so she has returned in good order.”

Hugh Bowman (Najmaty): “I thought she went well. She didn’t sprint as well as she did first up. But she is on track for the 1400m in a fortnight.”

Glen Boss (Joyous Legend): “Not seasoned enough.”

Jay Ford (Enterprise Pomme): “She ran super. Just needs to harness some of that energy early but she was really strong for me.”

Andrew Adkins (De An Andretti): “Disappointing. She had a lovely run. Never travelled to the extent I would have liked. It is only her second start in a race.”

Kerrin McEvoy (Ruby Kisses): “Got into a nice spot, we travelled well. Pace was strong enough. She just gave only a little kick up the running so back in grade for her I think.”

Rachel King (Wolves): “Just a bit too classy for her today.”

Josh Parr (Yearning): “Nice effort. Got a bit of time for her.”

Check out the results and replays for Randwick on Saturday.
