It came down to the best wet tracker and that honour went to Moss 'N' Dale who revelled in the going to win the Group 3 Craven Plate (2000m) at Royal Randwick.
Find out what all the jockeys had to say.
Jack Martin (Moss ‘N’ Dale): “Because it is so boggy out there he was really dipping and diving himself today so it just shows how tough the conditions are out there.”
“I really have to thank the owners and Peter and Manny. They could have put anyone on him today. We’re up with the big boys today in Group class. I have a great bond with this horse and I still can’t believe this really.”

Tye Angland (Who Shot Thebarman): “He was just getting dragged out of it too far, from the 800m I tried to pop out and get a bit closer before the sprint went out, but I didn’t find much I just got carted wider and wider. Just too heavy.”
Tommy Berry (Comin' Through): “He just doesn’t help himself on the wet ground because everytime he hit a soft spot he’d come off the bridle and I’d have to get him back on it again, probably sees him out that trip on heavy ground, but he’s going okay.”
Brenton Avdulla (It's Somewhat): “Tried hard, got through the ground really well, I just feel 2000m sees him out at weight-for-age.”
Glyn Schofield (Classic Uniform): “Did what he does best, he rolled along but he found the ground very testing.”
Tim Clark (Arbeitsam): “Thought he ran really well under the conditions, probably doesn’t like it that wet.”
Josh Parr (Allergic): “Never in the hunt.”
Jason Collett (Invictus Prince): “Good run, not great in the ground, but was okay.”

Damien Oliver (Doukhan): “He ran enormous, he loved those conditions and it was an excellent first up run.”
Andrew Adkins (Dixie Blossoms): “Probably found the conditions a bit testing today stepping up to 2000m.”
Kerrin McEvoy (Egg Tart): “She turned her head as the gates opened and we flopped out, didn’t want to get that far back and ultimately it cost her the race.”
Rachel King (Nettoyer): “Not herself today.”
Jay Ford (Luvaluva): “Really struggled today in the conditions.”
Sam Weatherley (Mandylion): “Bit of a tough ask backing up from last week on this heavy ground up to 2000m, but we had to have a crack because he does like wet ground, she gave me a good feel throughout, she just knocked up that last little bit, I’d say that will be it for her for this preparation.”
