James McDonald (Wild Ruler): “Peter and Paul (Snowden) were rapt that he drew out there. It didn’t work out perfectly but we were in a rhythm. He toughed it out towards the end. He is a good colt. It’s good to get this race on his C.V because he is very good on his day.”

“It seems the tougher the run the better he goes. He has got a good will to win, he tries very hard, and I’m sure he will carry on with his good fortunes.”

Wild Ruler wins the Arrowfield Sprint at Randwick

Ryan Maloney (Isotope): “Very stiff. It should be a G1 race for the 3yos. I don’t know why it isn’t. At the end of the day it was a cracking field. The bob of the head it goes a different way. Very proud of her.”

Tom Marquand (Prague): “Extremely disappointing and frustrating. If he steps out of the gates he wins.”

Kerrin McEvoy (Rocketing By): “Ran well. Never settled.”

James Innes (The Face): “I feel like I got into a nice spot. I thought it was a nice controlled gallop up front. He punctured which is out of character for him.”

Craig Williams (September Run): “Really disappointed. She has been a really good filly. She was in her right race today. She paraded so well. I was really pleased pre-race. I could see why Chris sent her down to Melbourne. When I went to turn under pressure she didn’t really turn going right handed. In the straight she didn’t really come on. Interested how she comes through it. We know how good she can be. She is a jet down the straight. I think Chris indicated he is going to target the Melbourne Spring down the straight.”

Tommy Berry (Dame Giselle): “It is a bit softer than she likes. She just needs solid ground.”
