ROSEHILL GARDENS – BEST BET: Race 9 # 4 – Space Tracker
Is a lightly raced import for Annabel Neasham, who made his Australian debut at this track a fortnight ago. The gelding chased a strong tempo and loomed to win after showing a turn of foot but just peaked on his run over the concluding stages. Further, that race rated extremely well relative to the day, and he will undoubtedly be fitter for that effort. The four-year-old brings the clear best last start figure, and everything about his historical profile suggests he will step off his first-up run. Expect him to roll forward and be hard to beat.
ROSEHILL GARDENS – NEXT BEST: Race 3 # 7 – Goomeri
He’s been impressive in his two career starts winning by dominant margins, and the clock has backed up his visual dominance. He ran sizzling time on debut at Port Macquarie, doing it on both ends and then backed it up, leading at a fast pace to run his rivals ragged in a Class 2 at Murwillumbah. He is an improver with key attributes; although drawn wide, Nash Rawiller rides and has proven he can absorb pressure.
ROSEHILL GARDENS – SECTIONAL STAR: RACE 7 # 10 – Bold Mac
Is ready to peak fourth-up, and his sectional profile suggests 2000m is ideal. The Chris Waller galloper got into an awkward spot throughout transit and had the pace/bias against him last start. Punter’s Intelligence recorded his late strength, with the gelding clocking 11.20 for his final furlong. He is in career-best form, can settle closer from barrier one and expect a forward showing.
KEMBLA GRANGE– PROVINCIAL PICK: RACE 5 # 9 – Bongo Rhythm
He was impressive on debut at Wagga 15 days ago and did it in style. The two-year-old was restrained from a wide gate, settled midfield three wide with cover in a moderate tempo and made a long-sustained sprint. Moreover, he sprinted hard but got his mind on the job over the final 200m and savaged the line to score. He must step in grade but will have only benefited from the race experience and will be suited over 1200m.
