Saturday’s Boxing Day at Royal Randwick will be run under tightened industry-leading COVID-safety operations, given the current environment, and following updated public health messages.
The Australian Turf Club has pro-actively reacted to the NSW Government’s advice around COVID safety. Members and owners will be permitted entry into Royal Randwick and will be required to remain seated indoors in designated areas within the racecourse’s grandstands and function spaces.
Racing will continue at Royal Randwick however General Admission customers who pre-purchased tickets will not be able to attend.
Full refunds will be made on all pre-purchased General Admission tickets and may take up to five business days to process. Payments will be reversed automatically, so there is no need to contact the Australian Turf Club or Moshtix.
General Admission areas include:
– The Stables
– The Ballroom
– Kensington Room
– Octagonal Bar & Lawn
– Rose Garden Lawn
– Officials Stand
– Triple Crown Bar
– Oaks Lawn Marquee
Amongst other pro-active health and safety measures implemented by the Australian Turf Club for Boxing Day are:
– Jockeys located in several isolated groups on-course, along with trainers and key racing industry personnel
– Increased hygiene and safe social distancing according to NSW Government Health Orders
Royal Randwick will host racedays on 9 and 23 January 2021, where we hope to have full attendance available – pending COVID-19 restrictions at the time.
