Royal Randwick will operate under strict COVID-Safe protocols again this Saturday as the Australian Turf Club hosts a 10-race card featuring the Listed $150,000 Drinkwise Winter Stakes.
Under ongoing NSW Government Public Health Orders, only essential personnel and approved racing participants are allowed on course on Saturday, with no spectators admitted.
The meeting will be broadcast on SKY Racing 1 and Sky Thoroughbred Central for Foxtel subscribers and is also free through the TAB App and SKY Racing Active for account holders. Coverage is also available through SKY Sports Radio.
Melbourne visitor Rubisaki trained by Patrick Payne and ridden by Nash Rawiller is the $3.90 TAB favourite for the Drinkwise Winter Stakes after as much as $8 was offered in early markets. A noted wet track performer, Rubisaki is also unbeaten at Royal Randwick.
The highly-consistent Bandersnatch – a winner of seven races and four further placings from 19 starts – is looking to repeat his last start victory in the Civic Stakes.
Trained by Hawkes Racing and ridden by Brenton Avdulla, the $4.80 TAB second favourite would repeat the same Civic Stakes-Winter Stakes double by Generalife in 2014.

Jockeys and trainers will continue to be placed in separate areas for the duration of the meeting and a range of ATC and Racing NSW measures above and beyond the official NSW Government orders will be implemented.
The Royal Randwick track was rated a Soft 7 on Thursday morning but rain is forecast to fall on Friday and possible into Saturday.
