Castanya - Withdrawn From Reisling Stakes (Saturday)
Trainer Annabel Neasham has notified Racing NSW Stewards that CASTANYA was found to have an abscess in its near hind hoof, causing the filly to be lame in that leg and requiring veterinary treatment.
As a consequence, Castanya has been withdrawn on veterinary advice from the Yarraman Park Reisling Stakes at Royal Randwick on Saturday, 9th March 2024.
Ms Neasham undertook to keep Stewards informed regarding the filly’s recovery from this setback as the stable remains hopeful to progress towards the TAB Golden Slipper at Rosehill Gardens on Saturday 23rd March.
