Racing NSW Stewards have this morning approved the withdrawal of ATTRITION from the James Squire Golden Eagle at Rosehill Gardens on Saturday, 4 November 2023.
Trainer Mitch Freedman notified Stewards that Attrition was found to have swelling to the right hock with some associated lameness in that leg.
Mr Freedman further advised that he had ridden the horse in trackwork this morning and Attrition had not felt comfortable in its action and, in his opinion, is not suitable to take its place in the race.
This has been confirmed by Racing NSW Chief Veterinary Officer, Dr Peter Curl who has liaised with Mr Freedman and his stable veterinarian on this issue.
Wagering operators are requested to remove Attrition from the James Squire Golden Eagle betting market.
