ATC Saddles Up With Toro To Maintain Sydney Racecourses

Australian Turf Club has signed a new partnership with leading worldwide supplier of turf machinery and maintenance equipment Toro Australia for use across Sydney’s four metropolitan racecourses.

The multi-year deal will see Australian Turf Club tracks teams use Toro machinery and expertise to maintain five racecourses delivering 110 race meetings, as well as grass training surfaces for more than 1800 horses in training.

Both organisations will share educational and promotional knowledge and skills for staff at racing industry and other events.

Australian Turf Club Executive General Manager Racing and Wagering, James Ross said the partnership was another key pillar of the Club’s continuous track improvement program.

“We are delighted to join with Toro in this long-term deal which will further enhance the maintenance program of Sydney racetracks across the year," Mr Ross said.

“Toro Australia is considered best in class in their field and their machinery will play a major role in our bi-annual tracks renovations and many of our primary training surfaces."

Toro Australia Senior Director, Laurence Bingham said: “This is an historic opportunity for Toro Australia to partner with one of the most respected racing clubs in the world and support their mission of excellence in track performance.

“I’ve witnessed the Australian Turf Club’s passion for having world-leading racetrack surfaces first-hand, and it’s an exciting time to work with them on implementing the latest Toro innovations and technology."

Toro Australia will also support the ATC Foundation under the deal.
