Rosehill Gardens will join racecourses across the country this Saturday, 19 May to celebrate the Australian Racing Hall of Fame Race Day across a nine race card.
Races have been named in acknowledgement of some of this year’s inductees, who have gained the highest accolade for their contributions to the racing industry.
Australian Racing Hall of Fame inductees include Colin Hayes AM OBE who has been elevated to Legend status, Sydney’s premier trainer Chris Waller, champion jockey Malcolm Johnston and Hong Kong-based star trainer John Size.
A heritage display will be located at Level 1 of the Members Reserve featuring information panels about Australian Racing Hall of Fame. The installation will contain racing memorabilia and information that highlights the Australian Racing Hall of Fame, Legend status, the greats of the turf and local champions.
Racegoers will also be treated to a Q&A from past Hall of Fame inductees Ron Quinton and Darren Beadman, as well as 2018 inductee Malcolm Johnston following Race 3.
An acknowledgement of past and new inductees will take place on the presentation stage after the running of Australian Racing Hall of Fame Day Handicap which has Up N Rolling, trained by 2018 inductee Chris Waller, as the $4.00 TAB Fixed Odds favourite.
