Walcha Cup Carnival 2017 – Trainers & Owners Bonus

The Walcha Jockey Club committee is gearing up for a huge 2-day carnival on the 10th and 11th of February 2017 whereby the club is offering a $20,000 bonus ($10,000 to both trainer and $10,000 split between owners) on the Walcha Cup TAB meeting on Friday, 10th February 2017.

The $20,000 bonus has been sponsored by local business owners Cameron and Dianne Martin and will be named the Martin's Lime and Fertilizer Services Walcha Cup Bonus. The bonus will be paid out to a trainer (and the respective owners) if they can win the 2017 Walcha Cup and any other 2 races on the Friday meeting, which have a minimum of 9 starters.

The club hopes to attract leading trainers from the country as well provincial and metropolitan areas. The 2 day cup meeting is the largest event for the small community of Walcha each year and boasts large prizemoney with a picnic meeting atmosphere.

The 2017 Elders Walcha Cup ($35,000) is the feature event of the carnival with the 2 major support races on the Friday being the $25,000 Graziers Cup (Class 2 Handicap - 1000m) and the $32,000 Woodie Wonder Racing Ron Martin Memorial (Maiden Handicap – 1000m).
