Racing NSW Stewards have received updates from the trainers of the following horses that participated at the TAB Everest race meeting at Royal Randwick Racecourse on Saturday, 19 October 2024.
I Wish I Win: Trainer Peter Moody has notified Stewards that the horse, which was reported to be 1/5 lame in the right front following The TAB Everest, will now be spelled.
Giga Kick: Trainer Clayton Douglas advised that the gelding, which was noted to have put in an awkward stride near the 75m in the TAB Everest, had pulled up satisfactorily. He further advised that a decision on the horse’s current campaign would be made during this week although it is more likely that Giga Kick will be returned to Melbourne should it continue its current campaign.
Front Page: Trainer Matthew Dale reported that following the post-race comments of James McDonald in respect of the horse’s action over the concluding stages of The Kosciuszko, he had arranged for a thorough veterinary assessment to be performed on Front Page. Mr Dale undertook to provide Stewards with the results of those examinations once performed. Mr Dale did report that the horse appeared to have pulled up satisfactorily and that no obvious issues had been identified as was the post-race report from Racing NSW Vets.
Think About It: Trainer Joe Pride confirmed the horse would be retired from racing.
