Please see below the following releases from Racing NSW Stewards regarding horses accepted to race at Royal Randwick on Saturday, 2 April 2022:
LIGHTHOUSE (report from co-trainer Ciaron Maher): Co-Trainer Mr C Maher has reported to Racing NSW Stewards that Lighthouse, an acceptor in The Star Doncaster Mile, has a pulse in the near-fore foot and associated lameness in that foot, for which it is currently receiving treatment and veterinary care for. Lighthouse will be subject to a veterinary examination by Racing NSW Chief Veterinary Officer Dr Toby Koenig tomorrow.
ZOO STATION (report from trainer Gayna Williams): Trainer Gayna Williams has advised Racing NSW Stewards that Zoo Station, a qualifier in the Newhaven Park Country Championships Final, has developed heat and swelling in the near foreleg and is not suitable to start in the Final. Accordingly, Zoo Station has been scratched from the Final and How’s It Kev, the CDRA emergency, now takes its place and will start from barrier 16 drawn by Zoo Station.
MILLANE (report from trainer Peter Moody): Trainer Peter Moody has advised that Millane had not eaten up overnight and he was not satisfied with transporting the horse to Sydney from his Melbourne stable in its current condition. Accordingly, Stewards have permitted the scratching of Millane from the Inglis Sires'.
