Racing NSW Stewards this morning have reported the following updates from stables:-
Zousain: Charlie Duckworth, representing trainer Chris Waller, advised Racing NSW Stewards that Zousain galloped 1000m this morning and was subject to an endoscopic examination post-work. The endoscopic examination revealed no abnormalities and a blood test for health assessment performed yesterday returned pleasing results. Zousain will accept for the Golden Rose to be conducted this Saturday at Rosehill Gardens.
Avilius: Trainer James Cummings informed Racing NSW Stewards this morning that it is his intention to start Avilius in The Bart Cummings to be conducted at Flemington on 6 October 2018 and the gelding has been withdrawn from the nominations for The Metropolitan.
Redzel: Subsequent to being withdrawn from The Shorts on Saturday, 15 September 2018, co-trainer Peter Snowden advised Racing NSW Stewards that Redzel has received chiropractic treatment, to which the gelding has responded well. Redzel was examined by Racing NSW Veterinarian, Dr James Mizzi, on Monday afternoon at Mr Snowden’s stables with no abnormalities detected.
English: Racing NSW Stewards and Veterinarians conducted an inspection of English on Monday afternoon following the mare running in The Shorts at Randwick on Saturday, 15 September 2018. The inspection did not identify any abnormalities and co-trainer Mr A Bott advised Stewards that the stable was satisfied with the post-race condition of the mare.
