Racing NSW Stewards are in receipt of notification from two Official Racing Laboratories, namely the Australian Racing Forensic Laboratory and Racing Analytical Services Limited, that the post-race blood sample taken from the John Thompson-trained Astronomos (GB) - after being placed fourth in the Group 3 JRA Plate at Randwick on 15 April 2017 - has been found to contain the synthetic corticosteroid triamcinolone acetonide.
An inquiry into the findings has been scheduled to be conducted at 10am on Thursday, 8 June 2017 at the Offices of Racing NSW, Druitt Street Sydney.
