In-form Goulburn three-year-old Salesman steps out at Royal Randwick in the $60,000 TAB Highway Handicap (1400m) on Saturday, intent on achieving more good results after two excellent gallops since resuming.
The Tickets gelding is trained at by Sarah Murray-Leslie and the experienced horsewoman looks to have the horse in great order this time in.
Salesman won a class two on the Goulburn track first-up over a sprint trip, but what really should have the form students interested is his third-placed effort at Warwick Farm last start in a solid edition of the Highway Handicap.
The form from that race has been franked since, with the fourth-placed horse, Buddy Honest, coming out and winning convincingly at Rosehill Gardens last Saturday.
Murray Leslie has been able to coax a productive return out of the gelding in his short 10-start career, getting him into the placegetters stall seven times. Two of those have been winning efforts and she believes he is on track for a third career win on Saturday.
Salesman won his maiden over the 1400m-trip that he tackles on Saturday and has Kerrin McEvoy in the saddle. With the rails draw to launch from, he looks well placed down in the weights with just 54 kilos.
