Rosehill Racecourse Manager Wins National Industry Award

Australian Turf Club’s Rosehill Gardens Racecourse Manager, Shaun Patterson, has taken out a prestigious racing industry award last night.

Mr Patterson – who was promoted to Rosehill Gardens Racecourse Manager 18 months ago – won the Emerging Racecourse Manager of The Year Award at the Australian Racecourse Managers Association annual conference in Tasmania.

The Association’s panel of judges considered track managers from hundreds of racecourses across Australia, with only two national awards given out.

Australian Turf Club Executive General Manager of Racing Services, James Heddo, congratulated Mr Patterson on winning the major award.

“We are thrilled Shaun’s great skill and dedication to Rosehill Gardens has been recognised in this way by his peers across Australia,” Mr Heddo said.

“This award is testament to not only Shaun’s leadership, but the whole ATC tracks team at Rosehill Gardens.”

Mr Patterson said: “I’m honoured to have won this award and I particularly want to thank and recognise my whole team who week in and week out continue to prepare Rosehill Gardens as one of Australia’s best racecourses.

“I am privileged to work at Australian Turf Club and truly believe that as a team we have enabled some of the world’s best racing throughout 2018/19.”
