Libertad showed his versatility to take up a forward position; he travelled well throughout and then accelerated between the 400m-200m in 10.74.
Further, he maintained a solid finishing speed and held off the late challengers. He will only improve off this effort.
Butch Cassidy was checked/blocked at key stages, but once clear, he surged to the line and ran the race's quickest final 200m in 10.83.
General Salute, who was returning, clocked the second-fastest final 600m of the race in 32.77 and will be fitter from the outing.
Kandinsky Abstract's run had hidden sectional merit after the $3M colt got too far back from the awkward draw over an unsuitable distance.

Howgoodareyou went to a new level to win the Benchmark 78 event over 1500m, and she is on an upwards ratings spiral.

Smashing Eagle once again was a sectional star and ran the entire meeting's fastest final splits in the Benchmark 78 over 1100m.
