Punter's Intelligence Wrap - Rosehill 29th June

Golden Path was utterly dominant in the feature W J McKell Cup (2000m) at Rosehill Gardens on Saturday, and he produced a career peak figure.

Since the blinkers were applied, the gelding has been on an upward ratings spiral, and he relished the high-pressure event.

The race was run at a very fast tempo, with Baby Rider leading up his rivals.

Golden Path sat handy to the pace, and when produced in the straight, he balanced up and held his action well before pulling away from his opposition.

Punter's Intelligence recorded his late sectional strength, with him clocking the race's fastest final 200m in 12.25.

Further, his overall time in 2:04.68 rated well against the day, even after adjustments.

Expect him to head to the Grafton Cup before a potential spring campaign targeting the Five Diamonds.

Runner-up Touristic was off the bit a long way out, but to his credit, he kept picking up in the straight.

He was run to suit but recorded the race's quickest final 600m in 35.99.

Lord Ardmore was brave in defeat and forgive Waterford, who struggled on the heavy surface.

In Flight has now made it three wins out of four starts this campaign, and she put her rivals away in style in the Benchmark 72 event over 1100m.

She had every chance but asserted her dominance over the final furlong, running 11.45 for that section.

Eye Of The Fire had too much to do after being restrained from a wide draw and just got too far back.

He flashed home, running the meeting's fastest final 600m/400m/200m splits in 33.56/22.18/11.32.

He is still in his first preparation and can only continue to improve.

Both imports Bear On The Loose and Diego Don De Vega are two to follow after racing well in the Benchmark 88 event over 1800m.

Bear On The Loose was extremely well-backed late in the trade, and after a smart ride by Nash Rawiller, he never looked in any real doubt.

The lightly raced galloper led at a genuine tempo, got to the best ground and kept responding under pressure to clock 1:52.35.

Further, that was approximately six lengths faster than the direct comparison earlier in the day.

He has scope and key attributes to work his way through the grades.

Diego Don De Vega was well-ridden but should not lose any admirers after a solid Australian debut. He has very strong overseas form lines and a rise in trip would suit.

War Eternal was a sectional star again, and he was a flashing light run in the Benchmark 88 race over 1500m.

He had the race shape against, had to make a long-wide sustained run and savaged the line with the five-year-old clocking the meeting's fifth fastest final 600m sectional in 34.30.

Aramco, now trained by Chris Waller, had no luck, and his few bounds/work past the post had merit.

He had the pace/bias against him and couldn't build momentum because he was blocked for a run at critical times.

Even with that interference, he still ran the meeting's sixth-quickest final 200m in 11.57. Follow him this prep.

Fastest last 600m: Eye Of The Fire 33.56
