Territory Express was the hidden run of the race and just had too much to do. He got too far back, was checked/blocked at key stages in the straight and ran the race's fastest final 600m in 32.92. Watch for him to improve sharply over more ground.
The feature Hill Stakes (1900m) won by Attrition was a brave effort after always facing the breeze in a genuine tempo, and although left in front a long way out, he just kept finding under pressure. He ran a solid overall time and recorded 33.88 for his final 600m.

Another ride that was a talking point was Josh Parr on El Castello, and he gave the colt every possible chance, but his effort had merit. He sprinted 11.16 between the 400m-200m and held his closing speed over the final furlong.
Swiftfalcon got way too far back but rattled home running 11.17 for his final 200m, the race's clear best. He looks primed for his next target, being the Group 1 Spring Champion over 2000m.
