Saturday’s Rosehill Gardens meeting sees seven of the nine favourites rated $2.80 or shorter with TAB Fixed Odds but one runner in particular has been singled out by punters, and that’s Unforgotten.
The Fastnet Rock filly, for the Chris Waller camp, attracted support as soon as TAB Fixed Odds posted her at $1.90 on Wednesday afternoon forcing her price into $1.80. The three-year-old is on the back up from last Saturday where she rounded up her rivals in impressive fashion.
Unforgotten making to two from two this campaign
“Unforgotten has been very popular with our multi players who are keen to use the $1.80 as a sweetener for their tickets,” said TAB’s Andrew Georgiou.
“Bon Amis is the only horse to have seen any real money in the fourth event which is no surprise considering the manner of his last start win.
“Punters are beginning to use him as an anchor for their multi bets in a similar fashion to Unforgotten.”
On the flip side of that, Stonebrook and Zonk haven’t yet attracted any significant attention from punters with $2000 on Makeadane at $18 the most notable bet in Stonebrook’s race.
“In Zonk’s race, our customers seem to be wanting to shop around for a bit of value at this stage and have specked Vigilance and Positive Problems. Zonk hasn’t attracted any big money as yet,” Georgiou said.
