By Neil Evans

Track Good 4 and rail out 3m.

Race 1 - 1:10PM CARLTON & UNITED BREWERIES PROV. 2&3YO MAIDEN HCP (1200M)

4. Mlinzi is an emerging filly by Impending who reloads 19 days after finding the line well on debut at Kembla. Fitter now, and the extra furlong is right up her alley. 1. Imarealamerican is well placed, resuming from a handy draw and two trials, and was scratched from the Armidale meeting to run here. 3. Uncle Barry is a big watch first-up as a gelding with gear changes off a forward trial since coming over from NZ. 8. Fairy Steps is a two-year-old resuming behind two trials having been beaten a long way on debut last spring in Group 3 company.

How to play it: Mlinzi to win

Race 2 - 1:45PM TAB 4YO&UP MAIDEN HANDICAP (1200 METRES)

2. Extremely Filly resumes off a 10 month break behind two progressive trials, and importantly without winkers. Showed last prep with a string of placings she has plenty of closing ability, and this looks a nice first-up assignment. 4. Meet Me In Bondi is an intriguing and lightly raced five-year-old now with the Bjorn Baker stable who hasn't raced since the spring of 2023. Had been thrown in the deep end prior at Group 2 level in the autumn. Fitted with two trials up to 1030m, although was pushed out behind the winner in the most recent. 7. Puzzler ran home well first-up at Kembla off a 32 week break, and down 2kg for this. 9. Zoomorphic is another one returning for her first run since spring. Won the second of two trials in heavy ground, but was ridden out right through the line.

How to play it: Extremely Filly to win

Race 3 - 2:20PM SKY RACING SUPER MAIDEN PLATE (1350 METRES)

4. Sheriff's Star emerges as the one to beat here, third-up over more ground. Chased home gamely resuming in a provincial Super Maiden before going under as a hot favourite at Canberra when running home late from an unsuitable inside draw. Drawn to get cover off speed, and by-passed Roseill on Wednesday to run here. 2. Northern Eagle is a big watch, resuming as a gelding for a strong metro stable with several gear changes, and behind two improving trials. 5. Sum Invictus can improve third-up, but shapes under the odds in early betting. 3. Rhegion resumes as a gelding off a lengthy break for only his second start, and is the best of the rest.

How to play it: Sheriff's Star to win

Race 4 - 2:55PM DE BORTOLI WINES MAIDEN PLATE (1600 METRES)

2. Cigar Man is bred to peak over a mile at his second start. Ran home hard late on debut at Nowra, and while this is tougher, he gets a cheap run back in the field and can be saved up for one last surge. Was also scratched from Rosehill's Wednesday meeting to be saved for this. 5. Queen Strada led until the final strides on debut at Hawkesbury, and is a natural improver up to this journey. 7. Livewire Lass was beaten under a length first-up in that same race as her stablemate and top selection. 3. Maison Louis also having his second start, and at bigger odds 4. Powerful Prayer improving third-up; can both run into the minor money.

How to play it: Cigar Man to win

Race 5 - 3:35PM NBN TELEVISION MIDWAY CLASS 1 HANDICAP (1600 METRES)

1. Koning will relish coming back from a deeper BM 68 at Newcastle when failing to fire a shot resuming at big odds. Drawn to get cover, suited under a sharp rise in distance, and this is a very moderate lineup. 4. Al Ras Bleus gets her chance striking peak fitness fourth-up after running home okay in three starts back. Needs to be ridden quieter. 3. Otono finished best to claim his maiden in the country before a fair effort in a provincial Class 1. 5. Good One is very fit deep into the prep, and can add value into trifectas and first fours.

How to play it: Koning to win

Race 6 - 4:10PM CENTRAL COAST COOLROOMS CLASS 1 HANDCAP (1350 METRES)

2. Lugarno looks primed to resume with a bang from the inside draw. Was a dominant Super Maiden winner over the mile in a progressive last campaign before being beaten narrowly in a strong CL1, then spelling. Given two solid trials up to 1050m, and will run this out hard. 1. Lavalier is a capable Godolphin three-year resuming off two trials after a progressive campaign in Victoria last spring where he finished just behind the placegetters in three consecutive outings at Listed level. 6. Angel In The Wind has shown steady improvement in four runs this prep up to a deeper level, and looks well placed at the weights for this class. Gap to the rest headed by 4. Kenmare Bay who resumes off two trials.

How to play it: Lugarno to win

Race 7 - 4:50PM MERCURE KOOINDAH WATERS BENCHMARK 64 HANDICAP (1000 METRES)

8. Kantishna is a smart country filly by Headwater well placed to make it three wins from her last four, stepping up to provincial level. Swept home for easy maiden and C1 wins before chasing home the winner as a short-priced favourite at Scone. Meeting a couple of talented ones here, but she's a good short-courser and the best weighted runner after the jockey's 3kg claim. 1. Last Druid is a huge market watch resuming as a gelding off two trials for Godolphin. Comes to hand quickly, and twice placed in metropolitan company last prep. 5. Iron Hat is over the odds second-up from a soft draw. 9. Party Doll is another betting watch first-up since spring without officially trialing; while 7. Russian Snitzel heads the rest dropping in grade third-up.

How to play it: Kantishna to win

Race 8 - 5:25PM STAR 104.5 BENCHMARK 64 HANDICAP (1200 METRES)

5. Enter The Dragon is a progressive metro three-year-old well placed to go back-to-back. Snuck under the market radar when finishing best to win a BM 64 with superior depth fresh at Kembla. Drawn to get the right trail. 2. Money Team has only missed a place once from seven starts, and shoots for a third straight win this prep, although up 2.5kg from the win at Hawkesbury. 10. Magnucat found the line well second-up at BM 64 metro level, and drops 1.5kg for this. 9. Reasonable is an improving mare who led all the way to win a Fillies & Mares Maiden here on Australia Day, and drew the inside. 1. Remlaps Commander can't be dismissed despite a poor first-up run. That was his first outing since early last May, and this is his pet trip.

How to play it: Enter The Dragon to win

R5 1. KONING
