Licensed Trainer Greg Hickman Fined $5000

Racing NSW Stewards today conducted an inquiry into the Analysts’ findings of meloxicam in a pre-race blood sample taken from Braces prior to the gelding starting in Race 7 – Benchmark 76 Handicap conducted at Rosehill Gardens Racecourse on 27 February 2019.

Evidence was today taken from trainer of Braces, Greg Hickman, Racing NSW Chief Veterinary Officer, Dr Toby Koenig and ARFL Science Manager, Dr Adam Cawley.

The inquiry was unable to determine the cause for the detection of meloxicam.
