By John Schell

Selections based on a heavy track

Race 1 - 1:50PM PACIFIC PLAN MANAGEMENT PROVINCIAL MAIDEN PLATE (1400 METRES)

9. Channelling debuted with a midfield Port Macquarie effort then ran fourth at Hawkesbury before a last start second at the same track. She’s shown talent in her career and looks set to run well again here if she can run up to her best form. 8. Rubilace wasn’t beaten far last time out and warrants respect again here. 4. Jason Darren has been placed in both runs since resuming from a spell ad could show up again. 5. Mon The Celts is returning from a break and has had a recent trial leading into this.

How to play it: Channelling WIN.

Race 2 - 2:25PM HENRY CLIVE BAR MAIDEN HANDICAP (1500 METRES)

1. Dark Arts has been placed in one of his six starts. He was beaten less than three lengths when a last start fourth at Rosehill, and warrants thought again here if he can maintain that form. 2. Dwayne is on debut here and has had two trials leading into this. A bold showing is on the cards. 4. Queen Strada has finished second in two of four starts and is well worth including among the main chances. 5. Audenzia ran well when finishing second at this track when resuming and another bold showing is expected.

How to play it: Dark Arts WIN.

Race 3 - 3:05PM ASSETT PROF. SERVICES KEMBLA GRANGE STAYERS CUP BM68 (2400M)

Race 4 - 3:40PM ASTUTE THIRROUL MAIDEN PLATE (1200 METRES)

3. Lyles raced on the speed and battled on strongly when going down narrowly behind President at Rosehill when last produced. It was a strong effort, and he only needs to run up to that effort in order to be rated the one to beat here. 1. Mission Gold ran second on debut at this track and has the ability to go on with the job in this. 7. Zoucratic is on debut having had two trials in which he was down the track. He can improve under race conditions. 13. Zephirine debuted with a fifth at Wyong and has had a recent trial to be kept up to the mark for this.

Race 5 - 4:20PM YALUMBA FAMILY WINEMAKERS MIDWAY BM64 HANDICAP (1600M)

She resumed with a solid fourth at Warwick Farm and then hit the line well to score a strong win at Warwick Farm when last produced. 2. Dominetta has only missed a placed twice from six starts and should make an impact in this. 6. Good Sort has a handy record and has only missed a place three times from eight starts, while 7. Idle Flyer drops in grade for this and is worth plenty of thought.

How to play it: Brigidine Gal EACH WAY.

Race 8 - 6:10PM DEAN GROUP BENCHMARK 64 HANDICAP (1400 METRES)
