Race 1 - 1:50PM GREAT NORTHERN 4YO&UP MAIDEN PLATE (1500 METRES) |
---|
1. Able Yellow debuted with a third at this track when leading and fighting on well enough, and he backed that up with a solid second at Gosford at his only other start. He’s drawn to get the run of the race from the rails alley here and should break his maiden. 8. Share The Joy has been thereabouts of late with a few placings before a last start fourth at Newcastle. She should get into the minor money again. 5. Lucky Star ran an improved race when a last start second at Orange and a repeat of that effort would have him figuring in the placings in this field. 4. Legris hasn’t been to far away in each of his latest two starts in provincial company and he could get into the minor money without surprising.
How to play it: Able Yellow WIN.
Race 2 - 2:25PM BILLSONS VODKA RTDS 3YO MAIDEN HANDICAP (1300 METRES) |
---|
3. Bastet had two trials before debuting at Gosford and running a good race when finishing third in a small field. She should have derived benefit from that experience, and she has the advantage of gate one in this which should give her every chance. 5. Manukau was well in the market on debut at Rosehill and while she didn’t do a lot in that event, she should find this an easier assignment and improvement is expected. 7. Twinkling Star went down narrowly when a last start second at Kembla Grange and a repeat of that would have her in the thick of things here. 8. Super Nui has been placed in both runs either side of a spell and can get into the minor money again here.
How to play it: Bastet EACH WAY.
Race 3 - 3:05PM BROOKVALE UNION RED PUB SODA PROV. MAIDEN (1100 METRES) |
---|
1. Gandalf is a locally trained galloper that is on debut and has had three trials in total leading into this, finishing second in the latest of them at Warwick Farm when just edged out. He’s drawn awkwardly here out wide but looks to have the talent to give this a shake. 5. Sosueme is also on debut, and she has had three trials, returning from a break for the latest of them in which she was a close-up second at this track. She has ability and warrants respect. 4. Paralia had two starts last Juy and August and showed enough in them to be rated a chance of figuring fresh against these. 7. Mane Character is resuming on the back of a trial win and bears close watching.
How to play it: Gandalf WIN.
Race 4 - 3:40PM JACOBS CREEK MAIDEN PLATE (1800 METRES) |
---|
7. That’s Outstanding has shown talent in his career having been city placed at Canberra. He resumed with a solid fourth at Kembla Grange when running home well and is suited by the step up in distance. He gets a chance to break through. 13. Polymnia resumed with a strong second at Warwick Farm and then started as an odds-on favourite at the same track last time out when having every chance and finishing second again. She’s close to a win. 14. Rock All Night debuted with a third at Wyong when running well enough and she can figure prominently getting up in trip. 5. Saucito has finished fourth and fifth in his only two starts and he could get into the placings without surprising.
How to play it: That’s Outstanding EACH WAY.
Race 5 - 4:20PM CAPTAIN MORGAN LONG ISLAND ICED TEA BM64 (2000 METRES) |
---|
7. Cigar Man rana good race on debut when finishing fourth at Nowra, and he then backed that up by scoring a good win at Wyong over subsequent winner Queen Strada. He’s drawn well here and looks like he will be suited by the step up in distance from the good draw. 2. Clubman is lightly raced but has a good record with two wins and a second from just the three runs. He looms as a danger again here. 6. Our Uptown Girl was a winner at Newcastle two starts ago and then ran a creditable fourth at Kembla Grange when last produced. 9. Jayashree has been racing well with a Newcastle win being followed by a second at Canterbury behind a handy one.
How to play it: Cigar Man WIN.
Race 6 - 4:55PM PATRON TEQUILA MIDWAY BENCHMARK 68 HANDICAP (1300 METRES) |
---|
8. Debello was midfield at Wyong two starts back when beaten just over four lengths, then was back to his best when hitting the line hard to score at Kembla Grange last time out. He has a good record and can go on with the job. 6. Starboard has two wins and as many placings from four starts and won well enough at this track when resuming. 1. Dr Evil is a well performed galloper that can make an impact despite the big weight. 2. Hellfire Express won at Newcastle before being spelled and can sprint well fresh here.
How to play it: Debello WIN.
Race 7 - 5:30PM XXXX GINGER CUP BENCHMARK 64 HANDICAP (1500 METRES) |
---|
15. Swelter ran well at Warwick Farm last time out when finishing fourth behind Brigidine Gal and only needs to run up to that effort to be rated hard to hold out here. 4. Imposing Pier followed a Kembla Grange win with a solid fourth at Rosehill and is worth thought. 9. Rotagilla was a Newcastle winner on debut and resumed with a fifth at Canterbury. 10. Golden Loom scored well at Kembla Grange at his last start and can show up again.
